The New Oxford Annotated Bible With Apocrypha

The New Oxford Annotated Bible With Apocrypha The New Oxford Annotated Bible With Apocrypha

Students, professors and general readers alike have relied upon The Oxford Annotated Bible for essential scholarship and guidance to the world of the Bible for nearly four decades. Now a new editorial board and team of contributors have completely updated this classic work. The result is a volume which maintains and extends the excellence the Annotated's users have come to expect, bringing new insights, information, and approaches to bear upon the understanding of the text of the Bible.

The new edition includes a full index to all of the study material (not just to the annotations), and one that is keyed to page numbers, not to citations. And, to make certain points in the text clearer for the reader, there are approximately 40 in-text, line drawing maps and diagrams.

With the best of the Annotated's traditional strengths, and the augmentation of new information and new approaches represented in current scholarship, the Third Edition will serve as the reader's and student's constant resource for a new century.

Prayer is not a technique of escape from conflict but rather a stimulus to growth in the very face of conflict. (p. 1002) The sincerity of any prayer is the assurance of its being heard. … (p. 1639) God answers man’s prayer by giving him an increased revelation of truth, an enhanced appreciation of beauty, and an augmented concept of goodness. (p. 1002) …Never forget that the sincere prayer of faith is a mighty force for the promotion of personal happiness, individual self-control, social harmony, moral progress, and spiritual attainment. (p. 999)

Suffering

There is a great and glorious purpose in the march of the universes through space. All of your mortal struggling is not in vain. (p. 364) Mortals only learn wisdom by experiencing tribulation. (p. 556)

History/Science

The story of man’s ascent from seaweed to the lordship of earthly creation is indeed a romance of biologic struggle and mind survival. (p. 731) 2,500,000,000 years ago… Urantia was a well developed sphere about one tenth its present mass. … (p. 658) 1,000,000,000 years ago is the date of the actual beginning of Urantia [Earth] history. (p. 660) 450,000,000 years ago the transition from vegetable to animal life occurred. (p. 669) From the year A.D. 1934 back to the birth of the first two human beings is just 993,419 years. The Apocryphal New Testament: A Collection of Apocryphal Christian Literature in an English Translation

The Apocryphal New Testament: A Collection of Apocryphal Christian Literature in an English Translation The Apocryphal New Testament: A Collection of Apocryphal Christian Literature in an English Translation

From the Back Cover This collection of apocryphal texts supersedes the best-selling edition by M. R. James, which was originally published in 1924, and regularly reprinted. Several new texts have come to light since 1924 and the textual base for some of the apocrypha previously translated by James is now more secure, as in several cases there are recently published critical editions available. Although a modest appendix to James's edition was added in 1953, no thorough revision has previously been undertaken. In this volume, J. K. Elliott presents new translations of the texts and has provided each of them with a short introduction and bibliography directed to those who wish to pursue further the issues raised in the texts, or to consult the critical editions, other versions, or general studies. The translations are in modern English, in contrast to James's deliberate imitation of the language of the Authorized Version. The collection is designed to give readers the most important and famous of the Christian apocrypha, together with a select sample of gnostic texts. Full translations of the earliest texts are printed.

The Complete Dead Sea Scrolls in English

The Complete Dead Sea Scrolls in English The Complete Dead Sea Scrolls in English

From Library Journal

This one-volume translation of the Dead Sea Scrolls joins those of Florentino Garcia Martinez (The Dead Sea Scrolls Translated, Eerdman's, 1996) and Michael Wise and others (The Dead Sea Scrolls: A New Translation, LJ 12/96) and is the latest edition of The Dead Sea Scrolls in English, first published in 1962. In a 90-page introduction, Vermes (emeritus, Jewish studies, Wolfson Coll., Oxford) briefly summarizes the 50-year history of scrolls research. He presents an overview of the sectarian community associated with the scrolls (whom he identifies as the Essenes), its history, and its beliefs. Though dubbed "complete" (the preface explains that "meaningless scraps or badly damaged manuscript sections are not inflicted on the reader"), Vermes's translation is generally the most selective of the three. This sometimes saves the reader from the possible frustration of line upon line of brackets and ellipses, but it gives a limited idea of the extent of the textual material available. However, the translation is good and has stood as the standard for many years. As with Bibles, libraries should have more than one version of the Dead Sea Scrolls.?Craig W. Aliens 'N' Raelians:
The Real Rael and Clonaid

Raelianism and Clonaid appear to be a guinea pig cult -- a synthetic telepathy-following, self-supporting, subject-providing, secret laboratory for illegal and unethical genetic and human-biological research of every type.

UFO or Mind-Control?

In December of 1973 sports writer Claude Vorilhon had a strange feeling (such as also did Urantia movement's Vern Grimsley a decade later, immediately preceding his first hearing of his "voices") that he should trek through Puy deLassolas near Clermont-Ferrand in southern France. There, in that relative wilderness, he happened upon what he later reported (and apparently believes) was a ufo and a 4-foot tall alien-looking, white humanoid with a slightly greenish tint and wrap-around eyes. The alien introduced himself to the man who was soon to become the first Raelian, as "Yahweh", and told him that the alien race was called "Elohim". That problematical word found in the Bible is variously interpreted and used therein for "God" (it is a plural form of "El"), "angels", and "human judges". Rael, as Vorilhon was renamed by "Yahweh", believes the alien told him it means "those that come from the sky".

Vorilhon's strange feeling had somehow impelled him to bring a Bible along with him and for the next six days the alien -- according to Vorilhon memories -- reinterpreted Bible stories such as the Creation and the Flood in an all-"alien" context: There is no God, no soul, the aliens through their cloning science seeded earth, and so-forth. The part about 'sons of God' having sexual relations with human women (ref. Genesis 6:1) they explained as the alien males' inability to resist the beauty they had created. And the offspring of that union was the Hebrew race.

Rael is convinced that 25,000 years ago some Elohim scientists -- whom Rael is convinced (for no apparent reason which a rational person would buy) are the most intelligent people in the universe -- wished to carry out some dangerous and possibly unethical biological experiments, and were made to leave their home planet to do so. They discovered earth, which, in spite of all archeological evidence to the contrary, was then a waterworld. With explosives they were able to form a huge, multi-continental sized land-mass. Over a period of time they created all the life, as we know it, on earth. Eventually they completed the ultimate goal of their experiment: people like you and me, who are both bigger and stronger than they are, and do NOT have wrap-around eyes!

They had a contest to see which scientist could create the most beautiful and interesting humans, and thus the races came into being. The winner's batch resided in the Middle East, and it was they with whom the alien Elohim could not keep it in their pants and cross-bred. But all the Elohim should not be blamed for this because by that time they had stranded the most dangerous-thinking and unethical of their lot on earth, and returned home. It was these castaway aliens which did the deed.

Rael posed with fake UFO
Was the first ufo a fake, too? Rael posed with fake UFO.
Was the first ufo a fake, too?

It was then that the apparently wise, cautious, and ethical Elohim back home decided that the best thing to do was to terminate the experiment entirely. They sent more explosives to earth which created a gigantic Tsunami (tidal wave), which we know as -- I am sure you have guessed it -- Noah's flood! And that familiar Bible story, of course, is explained with alienized concepts utilizing spaceships and petri dishes full of cellular samplings instead of arks and animals.

Likely during his encounter experience of the "third kind" Vorilhon was brainwashed and given false memories and perhaps deep programming (ref., "The Controllers", by Martin Cannon ). That is, he did not learn all this sitting in the woods at the alien's knee absorbing the tiny being's words, as the story goes and as he "remembers", but more likely lay hypnotized in a rigged up helicopter (that was what Rael first believed that he saw, either that or a downed balloon), with designer drugs being fed into his arm from a drip bag, and undergoing some sort of higher generation permeation of MKULTRA researcher Dr. D. Ewen Cameron's false memory-implanting technique called "psychic driving" which the unethical psychiatrist had developed over two decades earlier. The process, originally, in the fifties, had relied on looped tape messages.

Cameron's CIA-funded goal was to break down existing behavior, produce a blank mind, and program new mental patterns in his "patients" (mostly consisting of women who sought his help in dealing with despondency caused by marital difficulties -- an over-the-edge "treatment" which reputedly left his patients considerably worse than they began, and for which he was later successfully sued). By the seventies, however, cutting edge science was interfacing microwaves directly with brain waves -- no more clunky looped tapes and earphones. With microwaves a hypnotist could crawl right inside the skull of the subject.

A US Army study published around then, entitled "Controlled Offensive Behavior: USSR", concerned the use of Soviet techniques for targeting individuals with "mind altering techniques" and "the total submission of one's will to some outside force." The study involved the use of pulsed microwaves. And also in the early seventies, the author of Microwave Auditory Effects and Applications, Dr. James Lin, noted that "the capacity of communicating directly with humans by pulsed microwaves is obviously not limited to the field of therapeutic medicine." So what was then likely high on the spooks' wish list may be found expressed in a 1970 article in "Psychology Today" in which psychologist James V. McConnel claimed that "the day has come when we can combine sensory deprivation with drugs, hypnosis and astute manipulation of reward and punishment to gain almost complete control over individual behavior". He suggested that society should shape individuals from birth: "No one owns his own personality". That especially applied to people who fell into certain CIA or other intelligence/security community agency parameters, such as we may presume that Vorilhon did. And as Raelian children may, too (see below).

Other UFO "Influenced" Cults

David Koresh
David Koresh
Just another artificial telepathy-following "Messiah"?

Slightly over a decade after Rael (Vorilhon) received his new name in the French forest, David Korish in 1985, during a strikingly similar ufo encounter in Israel (where the "ufo" was dressed up in Cabalistic concepts as a merkabah -- a Biblical, rather than an alien, spaceship) came to believe himself to be a "messiah", and was left with a video-like photographic memory of the Bible along with an intra-cerebral Voice of God which remained with him, guiding his footsteps (and apparently encouraging his pedophilia, satyriasis, and desire to shoot BATF feds) all the way to Waco. The technology used on Koresh had obviously improved over that apparently used on Vorilhon, which itself surpassed Cameron's primitive mind-control technology. What took six days for Vorilhon only took (presumably) a matter of hours with Koresh, and the effect was greater. Oh, yes -- Rael was also told that he is the messiah and was given the ability to "communicate telepathically", that is intra-cerebrally, with the Elohim. And like Koresh, Rael's sexual philosophy projects into the twilight zone, too.

The Urantia movement has its own "lunatic fringe" of ufo-inspired cultists, including Bob Burgess, who thinks he is the Devil (aka "Caligastia" in The URANTIA Book), primarily an internet presence, and Tony Delvin (aka Gabriel of Sodona), a genuine cult leader who is "updating" The URANTIA Bookvia intra-cerebral communications from purported supernal beings. Also the Teaching  Mission is associated with the Urantia movement in its intra-cerebrally received (channeled) weltanschauung obviously based on The URANTIA Book; its early recruitment technique of trolling Urantia movement email lists and web-forums for potential true believers; and its virus-like takeover of a number of non-virtual study groups.

Stop Yogi
Alpha meditation can be dangerous!
Alpha meditation can be dangerous!

Teaching Mission adherents are taught, above all else, to engage in fifteen minutes daily of what they call "stillness practice" which appears to be what is otherwise known as "alpha state", a highly suggestive mental condition associated with light hypnotic trance, and which, according to The URANTIA Book, opens the mind to subconscious emanations. (See:  Meditation). For that reason The URANTIA Book asserts that such "trance-like" meditations are dangerous when used the purpose of spiritual experience -- people are all to likely to mistake their  Brain "God" for the divine real thing!

Interestingly the foremost proponent of the Teaching Mission within the organizational structure of the so-called "official" Urantia movement -- who almost single-handedly gave Teaching Mission its Urantia movement cachet -- has been a retired Brigadier General of the Marine Corps having background associations with CIA operations, Gen. Duane Faw (scroll down linked page to 1961), the former Urantia Book Fellowship (née URANTIA Brotherhood) Judicial Committee Chairman. Also during the early eighties Faw advised "voice"-following cult leader Vern Grimsley on armed defense strategies, which included -- but only if necessary -- the killing of fellow readers of The URANTIA Book who might have hoped to find sanctuary in his compound in a post-nuclear holocaust world. Besides being connected to Grimsley and the teaching Movement, Faw was the leader of the California study group attended by Devlin before he became "Gabriel".

Raelianization

The Raelians also are told to regularly engage in what is apparently alpha-state "meditation" daily (a lá Teaching Mission "stillness practice") during which they are to try to establish telepathic communication with the aliens on their home planet.

Also Rael's followers are instructed: "At eleven o'clock in the morning the Elohim as well as humans shall extend their thoughts towards each other. This is not a time in which members receive messages from the Elohim; rather it is a time in which telepathic impressions are received (presumably a rubric for the loading of subconscious-embedded programs, just in case anything is noticed)." And every Sunday, they are expected to try to meet together in order to communicate telepathically as a group with the aliens.

There are even closer parallels between the reported meditative experiences of the atheistic Raelians and those which Teaching Mission adherents ascribe to more Godly origins: "Primarily emotional impression of love one for another is reported. For the member of the meditation it can be a peaceful experience as well as an emotional one. One member describes feeling great satisfaction and joy in extending her thoughts to her creators. She felt an overwhelming sense of love being extended back to her from her creators" (Albert Varona -- a pdf file [This .pdf file is no longer available. ~GBA]). Remote brainwave manipulation -- also called "entraining" -- could be expected to achieve such effects. And the technology to accomplish it apparently has been known for a quarter of a century (see, 1976 patent no. 3,951,134 "Apparatus and method for remotely monitoring and altering brain waves").

I have not confirmed that Raelians do indeed follow intra-cerebral instructions (a lá Teaching Mission, Vern Grimsley, David Koresh -- otherwise known as "artificial telepathy" or "synthetic telepathy"), but this is altogether likely, and proven in part by the fact that the Raelian weltanschuung and the authoritarian doctrines (Raelian Ethics, The New Commandments, And the Keys) promulgated by the aliens apparently have been updated since circa 1973. One must assume that they are following intra-cerebral instructions until proved otherwise, unless the obvious is to be ignored because some mistaken idea about the judicial assumption of innocence until proven guilty is being wrongly applied to the situation.

"All Ya Need Is Love Sex!"

Recruits are attracted into the Raelian cult by way of a recycled hippie-style free love with a twist. For the Raelians sexual freedom is apparently obligatory! Raelian women are to make themselves sexually available to nearly everyone who wants them: "Do not reject someone who wants to make you happy, for by accepting him you make him happy, and this is an act of love." Also: "In fact, if another person is interested in giving you pleasure and therefore happiness, one should not reject that person."

More conventionally to free love they are instructed: "If someone appeals to you physically invite him/her to your place. If you love somebody you should give yourself to this person entirely if they desire it." You can see why, then, when Clonaid hit the news in December of 2002 -- in this sexually repressed world of the nineties and the oh,oh!s -- the Raelians' recruitment mushroomed, and gave them contacts in parts of the world they had not yet reached.

The Raelians are apparently quite accomplished at things pertaining to sexual intercourse. Rael's followers, you see, are required to increase their personal pleasure potential by way of regular, single or assisted "sensual meditations": "Through the touch of the organs and body one slowly raises the level of sense perception. One is asked to gaze directly at one's body or the body of one's partner. Every mark on the body should be noted, every curve felt, and every sensitive area touched. This results in a mutual sense climax which one might assume includes the sexual climax of the body and therefore the mind" (Albert Varona). And Rael wants centers to be opened for the practice of sensual meditation. (Atheistic churches where people fuck rather than worship? That's pushing the U.S. Constitution First Amendment envelope, all right!)

"Oh! Brave New World."

There are two basic long term goals held by the Raelians: the first is "to prepare the people of earth to receive the Elohim [aliens] again on our planet so that we may show our gratitude and love for them" (Albert Varona). And the second is to turn Urantia into a world of cloned humans who live in absolute pleasure and whose work is performed by a genetically engineered, cloned slave class of sub-humans or super-animals: "Do everything possible to create biological robots that will release you from all menial labor and allow you to fulfill yourself and blossom.". Check out H.G. Wells' classic, "The Time Machine", from your video-rental store (or library) if you want to get a picture of the general idea.

Nazi camp children
Nazi camp children
The future of Clonaid?

The creation of biological slaves was presumably also one goal of  Dr. Josef Mengele, the Nazi's forerunner of Rael and Clonaid (perhaps not ironically, the original Raelian symbol -- given him by the experiment-loving aliens -- contained a swastika at its center. This has been replaced by a sunburst design except in places in the world where Nazism is not so sensitivean issue). Although cloning was hardly even a realistic nightmare during his lifetime, Mengele had an inordinant  interest in twins (natural human clones), whom he culled out of cattle-carloads of Jews arriving at the camps for special treatment. His abhorrent experiments and callous disregard for helpless children will forever remain headlined in the annals of infamy.

Of course all of that Raelian/alien Brave New World stuff is a lot of hogwash, the membership's main purpose is to support Clonaid research with both cash and human guinea pigs. The Raelian women (have been brainwashed to) believe that it is a high honor to be used as subjects in unethical genetic and biologic experiments which no woman in her right mind would ever even begin to consider being part of and likewise is an assault upon the human rights of cloned children. Besides members' warm, breathing bodies for experimental purposes, cashflow is channeled out of their pockets by an obligatory 1% tithe (small enough not to be off-putting to potential members) imposed on all members, entrance-fee workshops, pricy auto-brainwash tapes, and the real kicker: one of their Commandments tells them to "Leave no inheritance to your children except the family house. All other property should be left to the Guide of Guides [i.e., Claude Vorilhon, aka "Rael"]." Clonaid also sells do-it-yourself cloning technology equipment to the public at large. Remember this when wondering what gift to give to a monster who has everything.

What is so cool (from the spook point of view) about these guinea pig cults is that they are entirely self-supporting. They don't cost Uncle Sam one copper-sandwiched dime of his hard-extorted tax zillions. Plus, genuine scientists contracting with the intelligence community who may have shreds of reputations to keep -- who may not want to be known as "Mengeles" -- can oversee and lead the Raelian researchers remotely via synthetic telepathy. How great to get certified "weirdoes" to experiment on and do your dirty work! I guess it is better than Buchenwald, but not much . . . not, at least, in principle!

So, keep 'em gainfully employed, keep 'em fucking their brains out, and keep 'em doing unethical research which in their own rubric the aliens wouldn't even tolerate! That's how it works. And, oh, yes, have them help out with their own brainwashing and behavior control by repeated alpha state "meditation" coupled with the desire to follow intra-cerebral voices (or slightly subaudial subconscious-imbedded program/recordings which leach into the conscious mind).

The Gospel According to Rael (for people with holes in their heads?)

According to the Raelians (who got it from the aliens) there are three classes of people in this world:

  1. The people who help the aliens achieve their goals, and whose reward is eternal life via serial cloning on the all-pleasure world of the aliens -- where Jesus and Moses, and all the religious celebrities already live.
  2. The people who do nothing to either help or hinder. They just die and that is it -- perpetual non-existence.
  3. Those who get in the aliens' way (such as people who call human cloning unethical and immoral): their lot is consignment to an eternal, serially-cloned life on a planet of pain and torment.

Raelianism appears to be purposefully designed to thwart any member-access of genuine spiritual resources, as well as to prevent multi-generational spiritual awareness and growth.

The Raelian "religion" (wherein "aliens" replace "God") appears to be primarily fear-based (support cloning or else! receive and give pleasure or else! etc.) and productive of guilt trips ("Why do I just want to read a book when I should be sensually meditating with yet another complete stranger?" Or, "Why don't I feel good about my gestating a cloned, genetically-engineered embryo with designer human, insect, and animal genes? If I don't straighten out I will be consigned to alien clone-hell!!!").

By the way, suicide is perfectly acceptable within the Raelian/alien community. What better way to "sacrifice" lab rats and "terminate" botched experiments? Euthanasia ("assisted suicide", as they say in prison lingo?) is approved also. Raelians' dead bodies are not to be buried but turned over to (no doubt security-cleared) scientific researchers. In case ordinary funeral homes, police pathologists, or coroners get their hands on them and raise questions about small, single holes in their skulls between their eyes (from which implanted microprocessors may have been inserted and/or removed): "The first requirement is that each member of the movement should meet with the Guide of Guides (Rael) at least once in his/her lifetime so that the cellular plan of that individual may be transmitted to the Elohim in anticipation of the final judgment of that person's life. According to the commandments this is done through a computer system that the Guide of Guides has in his possession. It is requested that each member ensure that a small portion of the bone from the forehead, between the eyes, be kept in the embassy [to be established in Israel] for the possible recreation [cloning] of that individual" (Albert Varona). Such a procedure if ostensibly performed during a member's lifetime could cover the implantation of a microprocessor into the brain:

"And he [ Antichrist] causeth all, both small and great, both rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads . . . ." (Revelations 13:16)

The Pleasure-Principal Downside

You may be asking, "What about pregnancy with all this fucking going on?" (forget about sexually transmitted disease). Well the aliens are on top of that. Abortion (the outlawed source of fetal tissue for experimentation, coveted by scientists) and birth control should be liberally employed, children should only be brought into the world if they are planned and wanted. But if afterwards they start to annoy you, i.e., interfere with your pleasure (need a stinky diaper changed? get colic? get cranky?), they may be freely turned over to be raised by appropriate (read, "intelligence-community run") institutions: "A child should only be kept near if its presence is fulfilling. Otherwise the child should be placed in establishments that society must create to encourage fulfillment (read, encourage human experimentation)."

On-Ground Infiltration

Dr. Sidney Gottlieb, the infamous director of the CIA's mind-control research and development program, MKULTRA, was forced into retirement when his unethical, secret machinations became public knowledge. After short stints in several locations he settled in rural Virginia, where he lived out the remainder of his life.

Gottlieb had a house built for himself, his wife, and another couple, that was designed around a large central room which he devoted to community meetings of a New Age/intellectual/arts variety, which he facilitated. This appears to have been a prototype for similar units, though not necessarily having an identical physical layout, but reproducing the concept of private dwelling combined with meeting space. These are used for New Age gatherings and/or other purposes. It appears that at least one of the residents of these "homes" will have an intelligence/security background, including ex-military special operations personnel.

Generally infiltrated groups will have individuals with such backgrounds in influential positions close to the leader, if not in actual leadership roles themselves. I have not done extensive research in this area, but it appears to be a constant, and what's more predictable "giveaway" -- a fingerprint, if not a "smoking gun" -- of intelligence/security agency "presence" in off-beat religious (and other, such as ufo) groups. There appear to be a number of people with such backgrounds taking to the pulpit in mainstream religions, as well.

Raelianism has moved the status of women back to the dark ages. Females have two purposes: to fuck and to breed, and even the traditional high purpose of breeding is denied them, which is family formation. Their reproduction function is primarily to produce fetal tissue, clones, and normal children virtually destined for abuse, and possible use as mind-control experimental subjects. It is quite likely that part of the secret agenda which the more atractive women members unknowingly fulfill is to provide sexual services -- free prostitution -- to the ex-special operations, ex-special forces personnel which the intelligence community appears to be using for on-the-ground infiltration and control of its guinea pig and/or other strategic, artificial telepathically managed groups -- which includes New Age channeling.

Children are to be initiated into the joys of sexual pleasure from the start: "the use of the sexual organs and how to receive pleasure from them must be taught to the child". And since ALL sexual mores -- with the exception of what might cause "harm" -- are considered by Rael to be superstitious anchors holding back the progress of the human race, this likely includes approval of consensual sexual child abuse. This alone of necessity would cast a blanket of secrecy and defensiveness over the movement (handy for unethical researchers). It would also apparently turn the children into the ideal candidates for "Manchurian"-style programming -- those who develop multiple personality disorders from sexual child abuse. In fairness it should be acknowledged that Rael has protested Vatican-related pedophilia to, I believe, the United Nations.

Children, of course are to receive NO religious "indoctrination" but are to be confused with presentations of all the world religions (as representing stupid human metaphors for intelligent alien facts). Naturally they are to be thoroughly indoctrinated into Raelianism.

Raelianism appears to incorporate both anti-family and anti-child doctrines as part of its signature identity, which is at the same time atheistic and anti-soul. Permanent heterosexual pairship bonds -- the basis of family formation -- are discouraged. And the burden which the anti-religion of Rael places on children is almost incomprehensible to any form of morality known: children may be produced by biologic experimentation where undesired results cannot be controlled, they may be abandoned at will, they are to be firmly indoctrinated into the acceptance of anti-spiritual, anti-religious attitudes, and finally, they are to be sexually initiated (if not actually abused) at an age previous to any possibility of their giving of knowledgeable consent. And when finally the parents who did these things to them pass on to their greater reward in clone heaven, the children are to be disinherited. The Raelian philosophy appears to amount to child abuse (since it promulgates practices harmful to children) in and of itself! Raelism and Clonaid are surely to be considered part of a conspiracy to abuse children.

Conclusion

My guess -- considering all the child abuse/exploitation allegations leveled on the web against MKULTRA during the era when Vorilhon encountered the ufo in the woods -- is that the Elohim he first saw was an actual child rigged up to look like an alien, the "ufo" was a chopper or a transportable modular field lab, and that everything else (apparently he believes they took him to their home pleasure-planet) was brought to you through the magic of chemistry and mind-control.

I believe that Raelianism has been purposely factored into an atheistic lunatic fringe niche in order to distance it both from mainstream religions and from people who might tend to think things through. It attracts primarily members who are willing to abandon themselves to sensual pleasure, and who will thoughtlessly submit to manipulation by a shadow leadership. Having covert intelligence-community support behind the scenes coupled with its international reach will contribute to its social tenacity, and it will be terminated only on the basis of future diminishing returns or media revelations of intelligence-community/defence connections.

The fact that Clonaid was only established a few years ago suggests that as a result of its new media exposure and the subsequent exponential growth and international outreach of Raelianism which it has engendered, the cult has gone into a new developmental stage which will make Rael, himself, a supernumerary in the eyes of his covert handlers. My guess is that the personality which may be ideal for the formation of a guinea pig cult is not identical with the optimal personality-type needed for heading up a large, international, cutting-edge scientifically-oriented organization. The "Manchurian Guru" soon may be replaced by a "Manchurian CEO".

When all is said and done, Raelianism and Clonaid appear to be, underneath, a secret, self-supporting laboratory for unethical genetic and human-biological research of every type. What may be in store for their children, cloned or otherwise, God only knows! I lament them.

As a researcher, I hunt, gather and disassemble resources, trying to put all the pieces into a coherent and logical whole. I encourage you to do the same. Personal Position

Personal Position:
I've come to realize that 'truth' boils down to what we 'believe' the facts we've gathered point to. We only 'know' what we've 'experienced' firsthand. Everything else - what we read, what we watch, what we hear - is what someone else's gathered facts point to and 'they' 'believe' is 'truth', so that 'truth' seems to change in direct proportion to newly gathered facts divided by applied plausibility. Though I believe there is 'truth', until someone representing the celestial realm visibly appears and presents the heavenly records of Facts And Lies In The Order They Happened, I can't know for sure exactly what "the whole truth' on any given subject is, and what applies to me applies to everyone. Until then I'll continue to ask, "what does The Urantia Book say on the subject?"

"Nave's Topical Bible, " the best known of all topical bibles, has been a valuable Bible-study reference and a best-seller for more than 75 years. It is a comprehensive digest of over 20,000 topics and subtopics with more than 100,000 associated Scripture references. The most significant references for each topic actually include the full text of the verse cited saving the need to separately look up each verse.

Because "Nave's "groups verses by "idea" (or "topic"), it offers a better overview of relevant Scriptures than a concordance, which only lists or indexes verses according to specific words. This edition also includes the helpful Scripture index (left out of some other editions), which makes it possible for the reader studying a particular biblical text to locate every topic and grouping of Scripture in "Nave's "whenever a particular verse is included. That way, it is possible for the reader to study either all the verses related to a particular topic "or" all the topics related to a particular verse it works both ways.

For the pastor or teacher interested in saving hours of time but not willing to give their second best, and for anyone wanting to be challenged by what God has to say about a given subject, "Nave's Topical Bible" is the passport that will allow immediate and successful entry to the many points of interest."
