The Secret History of the American Empire: The Truth About Economic Hit Men, Jackals, and How to Change the World The Secret History of the American Empire

New York Times bestseller

From the author of the phenomenal New York Times bestseller, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, comes an exposé of international corruption, and an inspired plan to turn the tide for future generations.

With a presidential election around the corner, questions of America's military buildup, environmental impact, and foreign policy are on everyone's mind. Former Economic Hit Man John Perkins goes behind the scenes of the current geopolitical crisis and offers bold solutions to our most pressing problems. Drawing on interviews with other EHMs, jackals, CIA operatives, reporters, businessmen, and activists, Perkins reveals the secret history of events that have created the current American Empire, including:

  • • How the defeats in Vietnam and Iraq have benefited big business
  • • The role of Israel as Fortress America in the Middle East
  • • Tragic repercussions of the IMF's Asian Economic Collapse
  • • The current Latin American revolution and its lessons for democracy
  • • U.S. blunders in Tibet, Congo, Lebanon, and Venezuela

From the U.S. military in Iraq to infrastructure development in Indonesia, from Peace Corps volunteers in Africa to jackals in Venezuela, Perkins exposes a conspiracy of corruption that has fueled instability and anti-Americanism around the globe, with consequences reflected in our daily headlines. Having raised the alarm, Perkins passionately addresses how Americans can work to create a more peaceful and stable world for future generations.

The Makers Of War The Makers Of War

The Makers Of War The Makers Of War

FOREWORD

Many times since the summer of 1945, when I finished writing The Tragedy of Europe, my American and British friends have asked me to give them, in short compass, my ideas about the economic and political disturbances which caused the nations to destroy Europe. This was no easy task for a man of my age, because my mind was so full of the long history of the troubles that it was difficult to select the chief features of the terrible drama and give adequate account of them in brief space.

In putting together this synopsis of the political and diplomatic factors of each crisis, I have selected matter overlooked by many academic historians. Moreover, with some of the writers who treat of the First World War and the consequences of the Treaty of Versailles, I notice a tendency to ignore many underlying causes that contributed to the strife. Difficult as it is to stand aloof and forget one's nationality and loyalty to a government or its chief minister, this must be done if the student is to form a clear idea about the causes of wars. In future, the investigator in this branch of the art of historical literature must conduct his work in a manner as cold blooded as that of a biochemist in his laboratory. National prejudices and party loyalties ought to have no place in the task that has to be done. Indeed, it will be necessary for the students (and I think chiefly of them) to pursue the line of inquiry laid down by Lord Acton in his Inaugural Lecture at Cambridge University. The fact is the dominant of research, and the student must not be afraid of tracing it to its lair. This was finished in February, 1950, before anyone dreamed of a war in Korea. What has taken place in the world since Hitler invaded Poland is not within its compass. The volume is brought to a close with the end of diplomatic negotiations in September, 1939- It is intentionally provocative and, as a London publisher says, a forceful work. The purpose of the author is to rouse students out of their nationalistic attitude to these wars and, if they be interested in the matter at all, to force them to a deeper investigation of the events surveyed in this book, so that they may learn for themselves the influences and directions of men behind the scenes who instigate the crises that force governments to choose war rather than the humiliation of confessing they have blundered.

Hegemony or Survival: America's Quest for Global Dominance Hegemony or Survival

"Reading Chomsky today is sobering and instructive . . . He is a global phenomenon . . . perhaps the most widely read voice on foreign policy on the planet." -The New York Times Book Review

An immediate national bestseller, Hegemony or Survival demonstrates how, for more than half a century the United States has been pursuing a grand imperial strategy with the aim of staking out the globe. Our leaders have shown themselves willing-as in the Cuban missile crisis-to follow the dream of dominance no matter how high the risks. World-renowned intellectual Noam Chomsky investigates how we came to this perilous moment and why our rulers are willing to jeopardize the future of our species.

With the striking logic that is his trademark, Chomsky tracks the U.S. government's aggressive pursuit of "full spectrum dominance" and vividly lays out how the most recent manifestations of the politics of global control-from unilateralism to the dismantling of international agreements to state terrorism-cohere in a drive for hegemony that ultimately threatens our existence. Lucidly written, thoroughly documented, and featuring a new afterword by the author, Hegemony or Survival is a definitive statement from one of today's most influential thinkers.

About the Author

Noam Chomsky is the author of numerous bestselling political works, including Hegemony or Survival, Failed States, Imperial Ambitions and What We Say Goes. A professor of linguistics and philosophy at MIT, he is widely credited with having revolutionized modern linguistics. He lives outside Boston, Massachusetts.

The History of the Kings of Britain The History of the Kings of Britain

The History of the Kings of Britain The History of the Kings of Britain (Penguin Classics)

Completed in 1136, this classic chronicle traces the story of the realm from its supposed foundation by Brutus to the coming of the Saxons some two thousand years later. Vividly portraying legendary and semi-legendary figures such as Lear, Cymbeline, Merlin the magician, and the most famous of all British heroes, King Arthur, it is as much myth as it is history, and its veracity was questioned by other medieval writers. But Geoffrey of Monmouth’s powerful evocation of illustrious men and deeds captured the imagination of subsequent generations, and his influence can be traced through the works of Malory, Shakespeare, Dryden, and Tennyson.

Lewis Thorpe’s translation from the Latin brings us an accurate and enthralling version of Geoffrey’s remarkable narrative. His introduction discusses in depth the aims of the author and his possible sources, and describes the impact of this work on British literature.

About the Author

Geoffrey of Monmouth was a Welsh cleric and British historiographer who lived during the twelfth century. He is best known for his chronicle The History of the Kings of Britain, which, though now considered historically unreliable, was widely popular in its day and is cited as an important work of national myth.

Lewis Thorpe was professor of French at Nottingham University from 1958 to 1977 and president of the British Branch of the International Arthurian Society. He published many books and articles on Arthur, both on the French and English traditions. He died in 1977.

First published in 1971, Rules for Radicals is Saul Alinsky's impassioned counsel to young radicals on how to effect constructive social change and know “the difference between being a realistic radical and being a rhetorical one.” Written in the midst of radical political developments whose direction Alinsky was one of the first to question, this volume exhibits his style at its best. Like Thomas Paine before him, Alinsky was able to combine, both in his person and his writing, the intensity of political engagement with an absolute insistence on rational political discourse and adherence to the American democratic tradition.

ROME IN THE BEGINNING

As far as the history of what is referred to as the rule of law, such can first be traced back to England, and from England back to Rome. Many speak of the Roman Empire as the crowning jewel to the beginning of civilized life. Maybe, maybe not, but we will bow to the benefit of doubt, and go with the flow that says all roads lead to Rome. So let's take a small step back into time – to the time of Rome, to see from whence the rule of law has been said to come.

Legend's verse tells of the founding of Rome by Romulus and Remus, twin brothers of Mars – the god of war, and the priestess Rhea Sylvia, daughter of Numitor, the King of Albalonga, who in turn was descended from Aeneas, the central figure of Virgil's The Aeneid.

Aeneas was the hero that set sail from the ancient city of Troy. Thus, have many lines of descent so come – long before Rome. After the Trojan War Anchises was carried from Troy to Italy by his son, Aeneas. He died and was buried in Sicily.

Aeneas later returned to visit his father in Hades, gaining entrance to the Elysian Fields of the underworld at Cumae. This part of the Aeneid is one of the most beautifully written pieces of the work. While in the underworld Aeneas meets many famous souls of those who have passed to the other side, and has visions of the destiny of Troy and Rome, that he is to partake thereof.

Once back with the living, he leads them to Latium, where he gives battle to the King of the Rutuli, whom he kills. Aeneas's son Ascanius was called Ilus from Illium, which Virgil gave as the tie of lineage to the Julian family, from which Julius Caesar was descended. Hence many of the lines of descent of Roman can be traced back to Troy and the Dardanes, the Trojans being descended from Dardanus.

Now Romulus and Remus did not come forth from a loving and peaceful union, as legend has it that Mars raped the priestess Rhea, who was a Vestal Virgin, sworn to the worship of the goddess Vesta. Upon their birth, the twins were to be killed by their uncle, but escaped by being cast upon the waters of the Tiber, found by a she-wolf that nursed them until the shepherd Faustulus came across them one day, who then raised them through childhood with his wife.

After obtaining manhood, the two brothers returned to whence they had come, seeking revenge upon their uncle, Amulius, whom they murdered; and then reinstating their grandfather, Numitor, as King of Alba Longa.

Legend speaks of the brothers first building a settlement on the Hill of Palatine, during the construction of which, Romulus kills Remus for jumping over the unfinished wall. Supposedly out of guilt, Romulus named the city Roma. One cannot help but notice the similarity between this familial blood feud and other such stories as Cain and Abel, from an even older time and lineage. And then there are the Gemini Twins, the Dioscuri, who form the constellation Gemini, Castor and Pollux the brightest of the orbes; and there are other similar tales in the Vedas and Norse mythology, as well as elsewhere.

The great city of Roma saw a most unbecoming beginning, as Romulus invited the outcasts and outlaws of the surrounding regions to come whither to his city, to be the founding populace of his city of sin. A great feast was held, the nearby Sabine men invited to wine and dine themselves into oblivion.

While the men of Sabine were beguiled by the stupor of inebriation, the Roman men stole and raped the Sabine women, which had been the plan all along, as marriage by the taking was still a popular method of choice. Such are the august beginnings of Rome.

Baths of Caracalla

Baths of Caracalla

The reign of Romulus was from approximately 750 B.C. to 709 B.C. based on the reporting of various solar eclipses from that time by several different authors: Plutarch, Ciscero and Dionysius, to name but a few.

After Romulus there were six more reigns of different Kings, lasting to approximately 500 B.C. The period from 750 –500 B.C. was the Rule of Kings that came before the Republic of Rome, which came before the Empire of Rome, which came before the Holy Roman Empire, that supposedly is no more. But one never knows – for sure..? All roads may "lead" to Rome, with a little detour to Jerusalem.

Next came the end of the rule of the Kings and the beginnings of the Republic of Rome, which existed from approximately 500 B.C. until 50 B.C. until the rise of the Roman Empire. Lucius Tarquinius Collatinus and Lucius Junius Brutus were the first two consuls, the chief officers of the newly formed Republic. Many of the former powers and offices of the Kings were acquired and used by the consuls, but in a more seemingly less dictatorial manner, emulating the ideas of democracy, in at least name if not in actual practice.

The conquest of many surrounding nations, as one must remember that Rome was descended from Mars, the god of war, brought with it many people and the resulting internal pressures associated with a growing state. Slowly but continually, the pressures built, until finally the Republic could no longer endure. After a period of civil war, Augustus Caesar established a new form of government that would later be called the Roman Empire. He was the first Emperor of Rome.

THE ROMAN EMPIRE

The Roman Empire is said to have began with Augustus Caesar and the form of autocratic government he formed. Upon the surface, all appeared calm, the high seas of dictatorship not outwardly noticed, but there was a heavy undertow that belied its existence, dictatorial power hiding behind the masks of republican forms of government.

Unless one were so told, which they were, it would be hard not to notice the pomp and ceremony and imperial majesty that was continually flouted in front of the people, hordes of wealth always on display for all to witness: but whose wealth was it?

Denarius of Octavian and Mark Antony struck at Ephesus in 41 B.C.

At the zenith of its power, the empire controlled all Hellenistic nations around the Mediterranean Sea, as well as most of the Celtic regions of western europe. But the empire had grown so massive that it was extremely hard to govern and control the vast dominions; eventually causing a divergence to begin – between the western domains and the eastern. This transition from the original empire to a western and eastern empire occurred gradually over many years, beginning in approximately 285 AD.

With the advent of Constantine (324-395 AD), the empire underwent further change, first recognizing the Christians as an accepted Roman religion; eventually there occurred a division of the empire into two distinct halves, with two centers or capitols of power: the western empire was centered at Constantinople; and the eastern empire remained in Rome.

A MOST IMPORTANT POINT

There is a very important nuance in the socio-political structure of Rome that helped give form to the political mindset of the people, which in turn had a powerful influence upon the actual socio-political system that evolved and was put into practice. It is a very subtle issue that rarely gets discussed, yet it is one of the defining points of all political structures, including ours in the United States.

In 31 B.C. the battle of Actium occurred, which many historians believe was the beginning of the Roman Empire. However, many of the former republican forms of government had all but disappeared for almost a century, and Rome had been under one man rule since the time of Sulla.

Now here is the critical issue: there were no longer any citizens alive that could remember the former republican form of government because it was before their time; no one that was still alive could remember a time when Rome was not undergoing civil war, because the life span of the present citizens did not go back to a time when civil war was not being fought.

This is a very crucial and important point that allowed the defining of the form of government to be deemed acceptable to the people. Since the rule of Augustus, no living person had experienced any different form or type of government; to them such was the norm, the way things had always been, for as long as any living person could remember.

Whether or not the people of Rome wanted a hereditary monarchy and one man rule, it was all they had ever known and did know for several centuries. So that is all they knew and thus readily accepted with little question or doubt.

This is a political ploy of deadly effectiveness that has been used throughout the ages by the powers that be – the would be rulers of the universe; of all major nations, through almost all time periods, in most geographic areas; from Rome to the present – especially in the present.

How many people are living that remember using Honest Money – gold and silver coin?

How many people are alive from 1932-3 when Roosevelt called in We The People's gold and confiscated and then outlawed its ownership?

How many people will be alive from the time of the assassination of President Kennedy, when the national archives are finally opened and exposed to the public? Will there be any survivors alive to care about something that happened before they were born?

Of course there will always be a few true patriots and truth-seekers, but there numbers will be sparse; and the numbers on the other side, trying to deflect the truth with illusion and delusions will be legion. Such is how the game for ruler of the universe is played – for keeps. It is not a game for the faint of heart. But as in all things, it is not quantity that counts, but quality.

It is a lesson they don't teach in the school of training for the would be rulers, they will have to learn it in the school of hard knocks, in every day life. It will be an experience they will not forget, as they will never allow themselves to forget, which is the weakness of their undoing – a self-imposed weakness that defeats from within, not from without. They are their own worst enemy. As it has been written, "I have met the enemy, and he is I."

THE TIME OF THE CHRISTIANS

The year 313 AD found Constantine The Great bearing the title of Augustus, the reigning power of Rome. Under Constantine's ever whatchful eye and art of persuasion, the Edict of Milan was passed the same year, conferring the end to the state sponsored persecution of the Christians, thus giving Christianity a legitiment recognition by the state as being an acceptable form of worship; which basically placed paganism, the most widely practiced and accepted form of worship heretofore, on the back burner, moving Christianity to the fore. [The Edict of Milan, complete text in English (Constantine, 313 AD).]

In 325 AD Constantine called for the Council of Nicaea to be held, which was the first ecumenical council of all the Bishops of the Church. This act by Constantine was an unofficial sponsoring of Christianity by the state of Rome.

The Donation of Constantine is one of those history making documents that have been constantly under question in regards to its legitimacy and authenticity, as have some other documents we will shortly review. The above link provides the reader with information to make an informed decision, or to search for more if so desired, but as with all such documents, someone did write it, for some specific reason(s), as always the question comes to mind – Cui Bono?

THE DECLINE

The last emperor to rule from Rome was Theodosius ( 379-395 AD), who near the end of his reign moved the royal seat to Milan; however, most historians site the fall of the western empire as ocurring in 476 AD when Odoacer disposed of Romulus Augustus.

But as with all things, there is much disagreement on the topic. There are those that site the sacking of the Serapeum in 392; others speak of the closing of the Neoplatonic Academy by Justinian in 529; while some consider the destruction of the site of the Eleusinian Mysteries by Christian monks and Alaric I as the defining moment.

While the western empire slowly disintegrated, the eastern empire slowly gained strength. In the sixth century Justinian regained much of the western lands, but they were soon taken back. By approximately 610 AD, under Heraclius, the Roman Empire came to an end – now was the time of the Byzantine Empire and the Middle Ages.

THE HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE

As the Roman Empire gradually declined, so too did the Holy Roman Empire slowly rise, from the ashes of the all-consuming fire of history – the passage of time, like so many beads of dew. There are several different opinions concerning the exact sequence of events that gave birth to the Holy Roman Empire.

Some divide the sequence of events into three ages or parts, others four. Perhaps neither is correct; or perhaps both are correct. First the division of four: the age of emperors, the era of princes, the time of the Hapsburgs, and the last period.

Conrad II was elected king in1024 and crowned emperor of the Holy Roman Empire in 1027. He married one Gisela of Swabia, which makes for some fascinating lineage, as both Conrad and Gisela were descended from Charlemagne – the most famous of the Carolingian Rulers.

Charlemagne is at the forefront of all lines of descent – of every existing or formerly existing, European Christian ruling dynasty.

In 962, Pope John XII pleaded with Otto I of Germany to come to his rescue from the king of Italy, Berengar II. Otto I consented and was duly crowned the Holy Roman Emperor by the Pope as his reward for services rendered. From that fateful day, the German kings claimed the right to rule the Empire. The strong emperors of the Saxon, Salian and Hohenstaufen dynasties dominated the first age from 962 to 1250.

The age of the princes was from approximately 1250 to 1438 AD. It was during this period that the Emperors were slowly losing their imperial powers and the nobles were gaining in power.

Although Germany was the dominant nation within the Holy Roman Empire, the empire was not a nation state, but was comprised of many of the diverse people and lands of central Europe, many of which had emerged from the kingdom of the Franks. Things were starting to become unwound.

The Holy Roman Empire in German was: Heiliges Römisches Reich; in Latin it was: Sacrum Romanum Imperium; and in Italian: Sacro Romano Impero. Of particular interest is to note that Germany was the center of power and the German Empire was denoted as the Reich.

The end of the Merovingian Kings saw Charlemagne crowned Emperor by the Pope in 800, beginning the reign of the Carolingian Dynasty. Pope Leo III needed protection from the various rebellious factions that had taken root in Italy, all vying for control and power.

Hence the Pope succored Germany for defensive help to be the protector of the Church. It was not until the 1500s that a German King could become Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, unless confirmed and crowned by the Pope.

Beginning around 1250, the Guelph's wanted to put an end to the empire as it then existed, transferring power to the French Kings instead. This has been discussed in previous parts of the series, so no further discussion is needed.

In 1356, the famous Golden Bull (The complete Golden Bull of 1356) was issued by a Reichstag held in Nuremberg. The Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV made the decree that defined the structure by which the Holy Roman Emperors were to be chosen from thence on, lasting for most of the next 400 years.

This was a defining moment in the waning of centralized imperial power, as seven electors now nominated the King of the Romans, who would usually then be crowned, the Holy Roman Emperor by the Pope. Hence power was now shifting towards the prince-electors that controlled the election process.

The electors would try to choose candidates who did not have much actual power, thereby retaining more power and control for themselves. This brought to the fore some very weak rulers, which in turn weakened the entire empire; which in turn strengthened and concentrated power in the hands of a very select few noble families. Cui Bono?

The Seven Prince-Electors - The imperial prince-electors left to right: Archbishop of Cologne, Archbishop of Mainz, Archbishop of Trier, Count Palatine, Duke of Saxony, Margrave of Brandenburg and King of Bohemia (Codex Balduini Trevirorum, c. 1340)

The Seven Prince-Electors

After 1438 a funny thing happened on the way to becoming King, as the electors almost always chose a member of the Hapsburg Dynasty of Austria to be King; one notable exception being the crowning of Charles the VII of Bavaria in 1742. Frederick III was the last Hapsburg emperor to be crowned in Rome and his great-grandson Charles V was the last to be crowned by a pope.

The Treaty of Westphalia in 1648 (Treaty Text) diminished the Holy Roman Empire to a mere confederation of independent principalities. Napoleon finally destroyed the Empire between 1797 and 1801. On March 6, 1806, Emperor Francis II of Austria abdicated as Holy Roman Emperor and declared the old empire dissolved. The Holy Roman Empire had finally come to its end.

As stated earlier, the German wording for the Holy Roman Empire was Heiliges Römisches Reich, which was in use around 1254. The complete term for The Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation, Heiliges Römisches Reich Deutscher Nation, first appeared in 1512.

The Holy Roman Empire is regarded by many historians at the First Reich. The unification of Germany as a nation state in 1871 is referred to as the Second Reich. The Third Reich was Nazi Germany.

BEFORE ROME

The Romans were descended from the Trojans and they from Dardanus. So although many think of Rome as from whence the western world's legal system hails, Rome extends back to Greece and its ancient system of law: the areopagus, which was both a place and a body politic.

Codrus, the last of the Kings, is said to have ended his rule around 1068 B.C. His son Medon received the invested authority to govern, which in turn passed to his descendents called the Archons. At first the Archons or Elders held the position for life. In 752 B.C. the length of time was reduced to ten years.

In 714 B.C. further power was taken away, as the descendents of Medon lost the exclusive right to rule, which was now available to all nobility; its allotted time of office reduced to one year. By 683 B.C. the power was divided amongst nine Archons. After passing through the times of Solon and Aristedes, the power of the office had been greatly reduced since the time of the ancient Archons.

The Acropolis was the central point of any Greek city. Rome used a similar structure, the Capitolium, from whence our word capital comes from. The Acropolis at Athens was on the highest point of land and served as the treasury where all debts owed were recorded. Adjacent to the Acropolis was the Areopagus; that ancient court within which the first recorded trial of western law and civilization is said to have taken place.

And who was the first accused to stand trial? Why none other than Ares/Mars, the God of War and bloodlust. It seems that the son of Poseidon, Halirrhothius, had attempted to have his way with Alcippe, the daughter of Ares, who found Halirrhothius out and killed him for his trespass.

Ares was then impeached by Poseidon and tried in the Areopagus, which translates as Ares' Hill, before the twelve gods, but alas he was acquitted. Legend has Ares the first to be tried in a court of law at the Areopagus; the next to be so honored was Orestes for killing his mother. But Athena, who could debate with the best, including the Erinyes, won the case and Orestes thus too was acquitted.

[Aeschylus – The Orestieia]

THE HOUSE OF ATREUS

The House of Atreus is as old as it gets, at least in regards to normally accepted views on western lines of descent, making some of the previously mentioned lineages appear to be quite young, unless of course they can be traced back to Atreus. If ever there was a House of woe, this was and is it. One would be hard pressed to make the following up. Truth is indeed stranger than fiction.

Legend has it that Zeus had an affair with the daughter of Himas, her name being Pluto, who gave birth to Tantalus. There is very little known of this Himas, except that he was the father of Pluto. Tantalus was king of the ancient land called Paphlagonia. It is said that Ilus, the founder of Troy drove him out of the country.

One of Tantalus' daughters was Niobe, queen of Thebes. Niobe encountered many hardships, including the murder of her children; and eventually being turned to stone; but her brother Pelops, had an even more gruesome life.

Pelops was murdered by his own father and then cut up into pieces that were boiled and served to the gods as food at a banquet. When the gods realized what had happened, they returned Pelops to life, who lived long enough to conquer and claim the land named after him: the Peloponnesus.

In keeping with family tradition, Pelops gave his sister Niobe to the king of Thebes; together they produced several offspring called the Niobids. Pelops had thus managed to mix two bloodlines of descent, thereby gaining lineal access to the Royal House of Mycenae – the House of the Perseids, descendants of Perseus.

The Pelopides are the descendants of Pelops: Atreus, Thyestes, Agamemnon, Menelaus, Aegisthus, Orestes, and Tisamenus. They ruled the Peloponnesus until the return of the Heraclides.

Pelops chose the daughter of the king of Pisa, Oenomaus, to be his wife. There was, however, a slight obstacle to overcome. The king lusted after Hippodamia, his own daughter, and he murdered all her suitors during races contested to win her hand in marriage. But Pelops was never one to give up easily, and he turned the tables on Oenomaus, killing his prospective father-in-law during the race. So it has been said:

Pelops and Hippodamia had two offspring, Thyestes and Atreus, both sons, who at the behest of their mother murdered an illegitimate son of Pelops to keep mama happy. Then they went into exile in Mycenae. Thyestes, being filled with brotherly love, seduced Atreus' wife, Aerope, and stole Atreus' golden fleece. So much for sibling rivalry, but it ends not here; there was still more to come.

Atreus had taken over the rule of Mycenae after the death of his brother-in-law the king. Apparently, Atreus had an epiphany, as he invited Thyestes to come back to Mycenae and make up, as all true brothers would do.

To celebrate the special occasion, Atreus prepared the family's traditional meal for his brother, which was revealed upon the serving of the final course: there on the platter were the heads of all Thyestes children except Aegisthus, who had been spared. Thyestes cursed his brother and rushed out in rage. Years later Atreus was murdered by Aegisthus.

Atreus had two sons, Menelaus and Agamemnon, who married two sisters: Helen and Clytemnestra. Helen was the poor damsel who was either taken, or left voluntarily, with Paris, thereby precipitating the Trojan War. Agamemnon was king of Mycenae and Menelaus was king of Sparta. Agamemnon was a devoted king, so devoted that he sacrificed his own daughter, Iphigenia, to appease Artemis to help with the war. Such was the House that unwound all bounds.

The Trojan War took about ten years to fight, during which time Clytemnestra got a bit bored, so she had an affair with – Aegisthus and she sent her own son Orestes on his way. Agamemnon also had an affair with Cassandra, who he brought back home with him at the end of the war.

Upon returning home, both Cassandra and Agamemnon were murdered by either Clytemnestra or Aegisthus. Orestes, when he heard of the death of his father, returned home to exact revenge on his mother – whom he murdered. Orestes was the second after Ares, to be triad at the Areopagus, both winning their trials by a judgment of not guilty. Lines of descent says it all.

PROTOCOLS OF THE WOULD BE RULERS

Before we proceed upon a most delicate and emotional issue for many, let it first be known that the writer does not believe in a Jewish conspiracy to rule the world. A conspiracy of elite international collectivists, composed of individuals from all nationalities and ethnic persuasions, however, is entirely plausible as has been evidenced by the information and collaboration of many different sources, herein contained.

But it does not or is not made up of any one nationality of people. Such false beliefs are purposely spread amongst the people as subterfuge, to act as smoke and mirrors to deflect attention away from the real unseen hands, lurking in the shadows.

Whoever these individuals are, they do not pay heed to any formal religion that worships God or the Good; they worship at the altar of Lucre, who pays neither homage, nor respects, anything but money and power. They will use people of all groups, be they Jewish, Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, Buddhist; black, white, yellow, or brown; or any other known delineation or division, to gain their purely selfish goals. They foment discord by playing the cords – one against the other.

What they don't understand, is that the false god they worship – Lucre, is nothing more than a nature god; and that there will come a time when the god that he worships appears, who will cast him off as used and damaged goods, no longer valuable to his purpose. And even this seemingly powerful god, is nothing more than a nature god – a beast of great illusion and fleeting power, that will succumb to his inevitable fate, for it is written:

The Protocols may be fictional and or plagiarized work taken from another source. Comparisons have been made between the Protocols and the Dialogues In Hell, which is a story about a discussion in Hell between Montesquieu and Machiavelli. Some say the Protocols were written by a Russian mystic to help incite the persecution of Jews in Russia. Maybe, maybe not.

Fictional or otherwise, they were written by somebody who knew very well the kind of men whose beliefs they supposedly report. They also express the knowledge of both insight and foresight into the psyche of a tormented soul that knows from whence he speaks, with the insight into others like himself; and the foresight of many events of history before they occurred. The bitter taste of wormwood is evident, leaving behind a perverted and delusional superiority towards all others of mankind. Ovid's masterpiece describes the wantonness of Envy to the last bitter droplet:

Who did write the Protocols?

A definitive answer may never be known, however, common sense alone leads to the realization that since the Protocols were written, obviously someone had to write them and whoever it was had either good or evil intent. All readers can decide upon the veracity and or importance of what is contained within by the information here provided and by listening to their own heart within.

The Protocols are filled with incendiary foreknowledge of many historical events that came to be years after the document was first published in 1905. The work predicted the collapse of several European monarchies, the Bolshevik Revolution, and the World Wars.

The Great Depression was discussed, including the cause for cutting-off credit. The document speaks of plans well known to Adam Weishaupt, Albert Pike, Meyer Amschel Rothschild, and Mazzini, amongst others, as has been previously discussed. Some say the Protocols first began within the Prieure de Sion that we have also come across in our journey through history.

So let us now proceed into some very murky waters, remembering full well that someone had to write this information, and for a reason; and that after reading it, all can determine for themselves what the reasons were: be they good, bad, or indifferent. We attribute them to no one ethnic group of people, unless the would-be rulers of the universe that worship at the altar of Lucre, qualify as such. The age-old story of the battle between good and evil is readily apparent.

The following are just some quotes that are very applicable to the topics under discussion. For a complete reading of all the Protocols go to: The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion. Please remember, the author of this paper does not believe in a Jewish conspiracy of any kind whatsoever.

The information that follows is offered only with the thought and intent of learning; as someone did write this document, for some reason; and in life there are only two lessons to be learned – what to do and what not to do. The following is about as good as it gets for showing what not to do – or be. Please keep this in mind.

PROTOCOL: No 1

4. What has restrained the beasts of prey who are called men? What has served for their guidance hitherto?

5. In the beginnings of the structure of society, they were subjected to brutal and blind force; afterwards -- to Law, which is the same force, only disguised. I draw the conclusion that by the law of nature, right lies in force.

Gold

7. In our day the power which has replaced that of the rulers who were liberal is the power of Gold. Time was when Faith ruled. The idea of freedom is impossible of realization because no one knows how to use it with moderation. It is enough to hand over a people to self-government for a certain length of time for that people to be turned into a disorganized mob. From that moment on we get internecine strife which soon develops into battles between classes, in the midst of which States burn down and their importance is reduced to that of a heap of ashes.

8. Whether a State exhausts itself in its own convulsions, whether its internal discord brings it under the power of external foes -- in any case it can be accounted irretrievable lost: It Is In Our Power. The despotism of Capital, which is entirely in our hands, reaches out to it a straw that the State, willy-nilly, must take hold of: if not -- it goes to the bottom.

Right is Might

12. Our right lies in force. The word "right" is an abstract thought and proved by nothing. The word means no more than: Give me what I want in order that thereby I may have a proof that I am stronger than you.

13. Where does right begin? Where does it end?

16. Out of the temporary evil we are now compelled to commit will emerge the good of an unshakable rule, which will restore the regular course of the machinery of the national life, brought to naught by liberalism. The result justifies the means. Let us, however, in our plans, direct our attention not so much to what is good and moral as to what is necessary and useful.

17. Before us is a plan in which is laid down strategically the line from which we cannot deviate without running the risk of seeing the labor of many centuries brought to naught.

PROTOCOL No. 2

1. It is indispensable for our purpose that wars, so far as possible, should not result in territorial gains: war will thus be brought on to the economic ground, where the nations will not fail to perceive in the assistance we give the strength of our predominance, and this state of things will put both sides at the mercy of our international Agentur; which possesses millions of eyes ever on the watch and unhampered by any limitations whatsoever. Our international rights will then wipe out national rights, in the proper sense of right, and will rule the nations precisely as the civil law of States rules the relations of their subjects among themselves.

Destructive Education

5. (In part) Through the Press we have gained the power to influence while remaining ourselves in the shade; thanks to the Press we have got the GOLD in our hands, notwithstanding that we have had to gather it out of the oceans of blood and tears.

PROTOCOL No. 3

Poverty Our Waspon

5. All people are chained down to heavy toil by poverty more firmly than ever. They were chained by slavery and serfdom; from these, one way and another, they might free themselves. These could be settled with, but from want they will never get away. We have included in the constitution such rights as to the masses appear fictitious and not actual rights. All these so-called "Peoples Rights" can exist only in idea, an idea that can never be realized in practical life.

9. When the hour strikes for our sovereign Lord of all the world to be crowned it is these same hands which will sweep away everything that might be a hindrance thereto.

15. Ever since that time we have been leading the peoples from one disenchantment to another, so that in the end they should turn also from us in favor of that King-Despot of the Blood of Zion whom we are preparing for the world.

20. The word "freedom" brings out the communities of men to fight against every kind of force, against every kind of authority even against God and the laws of nature. For this reason we, when we come into our kingdom, shall have to erase this word from the lexicon of life as implying a principle of brute force which turns mobs into bloodthirsty beasts.

PROTOCOL No. 4

We Shall Destroy God

3. [In part] It is indispensable for us to undermine all faith, to tear out of the mind the very principle of Godhead and the Spirit, and to put in its place arithmetical calculations and material needs.

PROTOCOL No. 5

Masses Led By Lies

6. Per Me Reges Regnant"It is through me that Kings reign." And it was said by the prophets that we were chosen by God Himself to rule over the whole earth.... All the wheels of the machinery of all States go by the force of the engine, which is in our hands, and that engine of the machinery of States is -- Gold. The science of political economy invented by our learned elders has for long past been giving royal prestige to capital.

PROTOCOL No. 6

7. To complete the ruin of industry we shall bring to the assistance of speculation the luxury, which we have developed, that greedy demand for luxury, which is swallowing up everything. We shall raise the rate of wages, which, however, will not bring any advantage to the workers, for, at the same time; we shall produce a rise in prices of the first necessaries of life, alleging that it arises from the decline of agriculture and cattle breeding. We shall further undermine artfully and deeply sources of production by accustoming the workers to anarchy and to drunkenness and side by side there with taking all measure to extirpate from the face of the Earth all educated forces.

PROTOCOL 9

4. By these acts all States are in torture; they exhort to tranquility, are ready to sacrifice everything for peace: But we will not give them peace until they openly acknowledge our international super-government, and with submissiveness.

5. The people have raised a howl about the necessity of settling the question of Socialism by way of an international agreement. Division into fractional parties has given them into our hands, for in order to carry on a contested struggle one must have money, and the money is all in our hands.

PROTOCOL 10

Our Goal - World Power

4. When we have accomplished our coup d'etat we shall say then to the various peoples: "Everything has gone terribly badly, all have been worn out with suffering. We are destroying the causes of your torment – nationalities, frontiers, and differences of coinages. You are at liberty, of course, to pronounce sentence upon us, but can it possibly be a just one if it is confirmed by you before you make any trial of what we are offering you."

Then will the mob exalt us and bear us up in their hand in a unanimous triumph of hopes and expectation. Voting, which we have made the instrument which will set us on the throne of the world by teaching even the very smallest units of members of the human race to vote by means of meetings and agreement by groups, will then have served its purposes and will play its part then for the last time by a unanimity of desire to take close acquaintance with us before condemning us.

We Name Presidents

11. In the near future we shall establish the responsibility of presidents.

15. In part: We shall instigate ministers and other officials of the higher administration about the President to evade his dispositions by taking measures of their own, for doing which they will be made the scapegoats in his place ... This part we especially recommend to be given to be played by the Senate, the Council of State, or the Council of Ministers, but not to an individual official.

PROTOCOL 12

Free Press Destroyed

14. These attacks upon us will also serve another purpose, namely, that our subjects will be convinced to the existence of full freedom of speech and so give our agents an occasion to affirm that all organs which oppose us are empty babblers, since they are incapable of finding any substantial objections to our orders.

PROTOCOL No. 21

3. States announce that such a loan is to be concluded and open subscriptions for their own bills of exchange, that is, for their interest-bearing paper. That they may be within the reach of all the price is determined at from a hundred to a thousand; and a discount is made for the earliest subscribers. Next day by artificial means the price of them goes up, the alleged reason being that everyone is rushing to buy them. In a few days the treasury safes are as they say overflowing and there's more money than they can do with. The subscription, it is alleged, covers many times over the issue total of the loan; in this lies the whole stage effect -- look you, they say, what confidence is shown in the government's bills of exchange.

4. But when the comedy is played out there emerges the fact that a debit and an exceedingly burdensome debit has been created. For the payment of interest it becomes necessary to have recourse to new loans, which do not swallow up but only add to the capital debt. And when this credit is exhausted it becomes necessary by new taxes to cover, not the loan, But Only The Interest On It. These taxes are a debit employed to cover a debit...

PROTOCOL No. 22

2. In our hands is the greatest power of our day - GOLD: In two days we can procure from our storehouses any quantity we may please.

PROTOCOL No. 24

3. Certain members of the seed of David will prepare the kings and their heirs, selecting not by right of heritage but by eminent capacities, inducting them into the most secret mysteries of the political, into schemes of government, but providing always that none may come to knowledge of the secrets. The object of this mode of action is that all may know that government cannot be entrusted to those who have not been inducted into the secret places of its art.

COMMENTS ON THE PROTOCOLS

As is evident from the above, whoever wrote such has a heart of adamant; they are a lost and miserable soul, their just reward being their self, from which there is no escape. Hopefully they will learn and grow, but it is obvious that they will have to go through much suffering that they impose upon themselves.

Such is a perfect example of "the light shines in the darkness, but the darkness knows it not."

Notice the similarities in the Protocols that were also evident in the writings of Weishaupt and Pike. Mazzini, Hitler, Nietzsche, and Rhodes had the same similar thread running through their anti-gospels; the same that is presently found in the works about Holy Blood and Secret Codes that reveal supposed divine lineages, while simultaneously desecrating the image of Christ.

The writings of Nijinsky contain more sanity then the above works. Nijinsky drew pictures in his diary that were replicas of very complicated Yantras, or geometric forms as mentioned earlier in this work – yet Nijinsky wrote his diary while incarcerated within an asylum, as he could no longer cope with what he saw as a superficial world and lifestyle, as lived by the majority.

So evidently there are those that seek to rule the world, as history and literature are replete with their tales, exploits, and writings. If such is not the case, then someone has perpetrated and perpetuated an amazing hoax, from the dawn of man to the twilight of the present.

But even if this were true, why the elaborate fabrication of a hoax that threads its way all through history? Cui Bono? The time factor alone mandates that more than one person has been involved, as the scan and scope of the work crosses centuries and would require legions to accomplish.

THE FUTURE IS NOT OURS TO SEE

The future may not be ours to see, but without any doubt whatsoever – the future is ours to make, by our feelings, desires, and thoughts that manifest as action or events. All that appears as nature is but a thought(s) made manifest. Action is the precipitation of thought, almost the same as the morning dew is to heat and cold. So what should be done? Perhaps it is not so much a question of what should be done, as a question of what should not be done.

If there Is Law, as in Cosmic or Universal Law, by which not just nature, which is composed of unintelligent matter, but also Law by which intelligent beings are governed by; that are beyond nature, then perhaps that which our essence Is may be Consciousness, which is beyond both the bounds of time and nature.

Nature is not Truth or Reality, as it has a beginning and an end. All of nature is continually changing, going through the stages of birth, degeneration, death, and regeneration. If (?) such is true, then to follow The Law and to not do anything that is not in accordance with The Law may be the Way – to travel a road not often taken.

In other words, nature is made up of units and groups of things that are only at their most developed degree conscious as their function; hence, they are unintelligent.

Beings that are conscious of being conscious are intelligent beings, of various degrees according to the level of self-awareness or consciousness they have progressed to, by reclaiming more and more light that they have emitted out into nature by improper thinking – and hence improper acting, i.e. not in accordance with Universal Law – The Law.

Again, knowledge is of two kinds: as it relates to man in relation to himself and others, and as man relates to nature.

First, there is sense knowledge. This is knowledge or awareness of nature – of unintelligent "things". Sense knowledge is what most of us call science, the study of the laws of nature; but nature is unintelligent and subjected to time, as such it is not Truth or Reality.

Then there is self-knowledge, which is beyond nature, beyond time, beyond the concept of bounds, it never changes and Is. It is only our awareness of it that changes.

THE LAW

Laws of nature, as expressed by science, measure and express the action or functioning of things that are only conscious as their function – as unintelligent expressions of life. There is also the Law of Thought or Destiny by which all intelligent beings within the Universe(s) have their being.

As previously stated, the basis of the law of thought is that all that manifests on the physical plane does so by the exteriorization of a thought(s), which eventually must be balanced by the one who thought the thought, by reclaiming the light issued out into nature, back within the issuer that created the thought.

Man has corporeal existence, incarnate within a body, to gain experiences he would not have if not so disposed. Learning takes place by experience, and the thinking that at first issues light out into nature, and which eventually reclaims the light. Experience is like knowledge in that there are two kinds: sense experience of nature; and self-experience of one's inner self or being, which is beyond nature.

TRUE GOVERNMENT

True government is that which governs according to The Law and not against The Law; hence, it facilitates the purpose and plan of being, as opposed to hindering it. From this it follows that true government is self-government, the governing of one's feelings, desires, thoughts, and actions to be in accordance with The Law. We can control nothing – but ourselves, yet we continually try to control everything except ourselves.

Higher education is taught within universities. The word university is derived from the word universe, which refers to all existence. If there are two kinds of learning and two kinds of knowledge, as previously discussed, and if self-learning and self-knowledge are "higher" then senses-experience and sense-knowledge of nature only – where is the university that teaches such knowledge? Perhaps that is what our body is for – the placement of "us" within its bounds, to experience and learn of our self.

Perhaps like the musk deer that is continually searching here and there, looking from whence the smell comes from – we should look within instead of without to gain knowledge. As human beings we are conscious; we are also conscious that we our conscious; we are conscious of consciousness; but perhaps the goal is to be conscious as consciousness – if that is truly what we are.

From this it follows that if it is true that self-knowledge is really knowledge or awareness or consciousness of being conscious as consciousness, then in such a state of Being, would not we be the same as consciousness, the same as The Law, as we would be one with all?

Is this not what Christ taught, "to be in the world, but not of it," to be in "the Kingdom of God", to have "everlasting life," to be a "Son of God", and one with the "Father" in heaven?

Is this not the same as the teaching that "thou are that," "as above, so below", "This life is the maya - a dream. When we awaken, we will see it as it is...as it always was and will be. Consciousness discovering itself." As always, it is left for all individuals to decide for themselves.

[Plato, Laws]

WHAT OF THE FUTURE

Perhaps the future is not ours to see, only because we do not look in the right place. Perhaps those that have looked into the right place, and are in the right place, as they are that place, know of the future, as they are one with all things, including the law that makes the future – the law of thought or destiny. There are those that have written and spoke about the future. Did they know from whence they spoke? If they did, should we not listen?

A most revealing chronicle is Revelations contained within the Bible. It speaks of the possible future, but be it remembered, all is but a thought made manifest, so the future is in our control, if we choose to be in control, of that which we can only be in control of – ourselves and our thoughts, words, and deeds. The future is written in our thoughts – not in stone, hence we can change the future. But such work begins in the now, which is the future – to be.

We have seen that there are those that apparently want to rule the world, the would-be rulers of the universe: examples being the protocols, the written works of Weisphaut and Rhodes, the actions of Hitler, Genghis Khan, and Attila the Hun.

Are the actions of those that have tried to conquer the world in the past any different from those that may be so inclined in the present? And what of the way of any New World Order? By what or whose authority is such to be had?

Is any system of order, be it new or old, which is not in accordance with the Law of Thought and Destiny – truly the way We The People want to be directed towards?

Is the road headed down towards perdition or upwards on the path of progression that which we truly, seek? Towards whose goal, for what purpose, and by which ending, is the present course of the would-be rulers of the universe sighted upon? Who or what is thus being served? Cui Bono?

With the above in mind, we now offer several quotes from Revelations. No comments will be offered until after all the quotes, which are a bit long, but so too is the tooth of man, as the time is nigh. One thing is obvious upon reading the following material, it is either the stuff of comic books or it is divine prophecy, it is either make-believe or it is true. As always, such is for the reader to decide.

REVELATIONS OF DIVINE PROPHESY

Revelation 12

7 Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought,

8 but they were defeated and there was no longer any place for them in heaven.

9 And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world--he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

Revelation 13

1 And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems upon its horns and a blasphemous name upon its heads.

2 And the beast that I saw was like a leopard, its feet were like a bear's, and its mouth was like a lion's mouth. And to it, the dragon gave his power and his throne and great authority.

3 One of its head seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth followed the beast with wonder.

4 Men worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?"

11 Then I saw another beast, which rose out of the earth; it had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon.

12 It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beastwhose mortal wound was healed.

14 and by the signs which it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast, it those who dwell on earth, bidding them make an image for the beast which was wounded by the sword and yet lived;

17 so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.

Revelation 16

12 The sixth angel poured his bowl on the great river Euphra'tes, and its water was dried up, to prepare the way for the kings from the east.

13 And I saw, issuing from the mouth of the dragon and from the mouth of the beast and from the mouth of the false prophet, three foul spirits like frogs;

14 for they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty.

Revelation 17

1 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, "Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who is seated upon many waters,

2 with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and with the wine of whose fornication the dwellers on earth have become drunk."

3 And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness, and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of blasphemous names, and it had seven heads and ten horns.

4 The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and bedecked with gold and jewels and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her fornication;

5 and on her forehead was written a name of mystery: "Babylon the great, mother of harlots and of earth's abominations."

6 And I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. When I saw her I marveled greatly.

7 But the angel said to me, "Why marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast with seven heads and ten horns that carries her.

8 The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is to ascend from the bottomless pit and go to perdition; and the dwellers on earth, whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, will marvel to behold the beastbecause it was and is not and is to come.

9 This calls for a mind with wisdom: the seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated;

10 they are also seven kings, five of whom have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come, and when he comes he must remain only a little while.

11 As for the beast that was and is not, it is an eighth but it belongs to the seven, and it goes to perdition.

12 And the ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have not yet received royal power, but they are to receive authority as kings for one hour, together with the beast.

14 they will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful."

16 And the ten horns that you saw, they and the beast will hate the harlot; they will make her desolate and naked, and devour her flesh and burn her up with fire,

17 for God has put it into their hearts to carry out his purpose by being of one mind and giving over their royal power to the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

18 And the woman that you saw is the great city which has dominion over the kings of the earth."

Revelation 18

2 And he called out with a mighty voice, "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! It has become a dwelling place of demons, a haunt of every foul spirit, a haunt of every foul and hateful bird;

3 for all nations have drunk the wine of her impure passion, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown rich with the wealth of her wantonness."

11 And the merchants of the earth weep and mourn for her, since no one buys their cargo any more,

13 cargo of gold, silver, jewels and pearls, fine linen, purple, silk and scarlet, all kinds of scented wood, all articles of ivory, all articles of costly wood, bronze, iron and marble,

14 cinnamon, spice, incense, myrrh, frankincense, wine, oil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and slaves, that is, human souls.

15 The merchants of these wares, who gained wealth from her, will stand far off, in fear of her torment, weeping and mourning aloud,

16 "Woe, woe, for the great city that was clothed in fine linen, in purple and scarlet, bedecked with gold, with jewels, and with pearls!

17 In one hour all this wealth has been laid waste." And all shipmasters and seafaring men, sailors and all whose trade is on the sea, stood far off

18 and cried out as they saw the smoke of her burning, "What city was like the great city?"

19 And they threw dust on their heads, as they wept and mourned, crying out, "Alas, alas, for the great city where all who had ships at sea grew rich by her wealth! In one hour she has been laid waste.

Revelation 20

1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain.

2 And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,

3 and threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years were ended.

Revelation 21

1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.

5 And he who sat upon the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." Also he said, "Write this, for these words are trustworthy and true."

6 And he said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.

24 And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. 23 And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine upon it, for the glory of God is its light, and its lamp is the Lamb.

27 By its light shall the nations walk; and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory into it, 25 and its gates shall never be shut by day--and there shall be no night there; 26 they shall bring into it the glory and the honor of the nations.

Revelations 22

5 And night shall be no more; they need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they shall reign forever and ever.

10 He said to me, "Don't seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand.

13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

18 I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, if anyone adds to them, may God add to him the plagues which are written in this book.

19 If anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, may God take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book.

COMMENTS

There is nothing to add to the above; and from whence it was and is – spoken. In lieu of any comments, highlights have been placed, to mark especially prescient teachings that cut to the chase. The question then arises: of the Protocols and Revelations, which is to be believed to be true or not to be true, and might either, be the Truth? Can both be true, yet only one – the Truth?

CONCLUSIONS

So, what is the answer? Perhaps more importantly – what are the questions? Perhaps the journey is as important as the destination. Perhaps the way of unwounding the Gordian Knot is as important as the completion of the task. Perhaps both are one and the same. Perhaps not. But so it is written:

Researching for 'truth' leads one all over the place...a piece here, a piece there. As a researcher, I hunt, gather and disassemble resources, trying to put all the pieces into a coherent and logical whole. I encourage you to do the same. Personal Position

Personal Position:
I've come to realize that 'truth' boils down to what we 'believe' the facts we've gathered point to. We only 'know' what we've 'experienced' firsthand. Everything else - what we read, what we watch, what we hear - is what someone else's gathered facts point to and 'they' 'believe' is 'truth', so that 'truth' seems to change in direct proportion to newly gathered facts divided by applied plausibility. Though I believe there is 'truth', until someone representing the celestial realm visibly appears and presents the heavenly records of Facts And Lies In The Order They Happened, I can't know for sure exactly what "the whole truth' on any given subject is, and what applies to me applies to everyone. Until then I'll continue to ask, "what does The Urantia Book say on the subject?"

Hegemony or Survival: America's Quest for Global Dominance Hegemony or Survival: America's Quest for Global Dominance

Rules for Radicals: A Practical Primer for Realistic Radicals Rules for Radicals: A Practical Primer for Realistic Radicals
