America and Britain have long enjoyed what leaders in both countries have deemed a "special relationship." Their closeness has long been cemented, Richard Aldrich writes, by shared intelligence--"the hidden hand" of his title, even if their intelligence communities have sometimes been at odds and worked to different purposes. In the postwar era, writes University of Nottingham professor of politics Aldrich, American intelligence was aided immeasurably by Britain, which had had considerable experience in keeping tabs on Russian agents for decades, thanks to the long-played "great game" in Central Asia. One successful joint enterprise took place in Iran, threatened by Soviet invasion after World War II: even with a few missteps, joint American-British efforts led to victory in a battle largely fought through propaganda, even if that battle gave America strategic advantage in the Persian Gulf region at Britain's expense. Other joint efforts were less successful, including the cynical abandonment of the Hungarian rebels of 1956, and relations between the two powers were often strained by competing interests, such as those made evident by the Suez crisis. Despite errors of judgment, spy scandals, interagency and international competition, and other blights on the record, Aldrich observes that "Cold War intelligence was neither fruitless nor a zero-sum game, and its most substantial benefits might be measured through inaction"--that is, the fact that the war stayed for the most part cold. We do not yet know the full story of the Cold War, writes Aldrich near the beginning of this impressive study of Anglo-American secret intelligence. Indeed, we may never know. Nevertheless, Aldrich, co-editor of the journal Intelligence and National Security, gives it his best shot. Beginning in 1941 with the Nazi invasion of the U.S.S.R., and concluding in 1962 with the Cuban missile crisis, he details an astonishing range of covert activities by British and American intelligence units. Some of these, like the British effort to break the German Enigma code, are now well-known; others have remained largely obscure, for example, Operation Unthinkable, Churchill's appropriately named plan to attack the U.S.S.R. immediately after WWII or the British parachuting of agents into the Ukraine, where nationalist guerrillas fought against the Soviets well into the 1950s. Such revelations can be found on almost every page. Aldrich builds a convincing case that much of the Cold War was fought behind the scenes, manipulated by the hidden hand of spies, counterspies and secret analysts. Much of the important history of the Cold War, Aldrich says, remains locked away in the vaults of the CIA, MI6 and KGB. And even when information is released, the sheer volume precludes comprehensive analysis Aldrich notes that the U.S. National Security Agency alone now produces more documents in a single day than anyone could read in a lifetime. Despite these obstacles, Aldrich succeeds in throwing open the door on the grim secrets of recent history. As Goliszek writes in this excellent book, people throughout history have used their fellow human beings for experimentation, most often in the name of military or financial domination. The author, a biology professor at North Carolina A & T State University, says unprecedented medical advances such as the Human Genome Project have put us on the brink of discoveries "that will make real the threat of population control, gene warfare, ethnic cleansing, or worse." The best way to ensure that the past is not repeated, Goliszek argues, is to document the truth about it in all its chilling detail, which he effectively accomplishes here. The book is a compendium of damning evidence that implicates first and foremost our own government, our doctors and corporations, and ultimately ourselves. The book features copious primary documentation, but it doesn't read like an evidentiary record. Goliszek is a riveting storyteller. He introduces readers to the terrifying but intriguing shadow worlds of chemical and biological engineering; CIA mind-control experiments; the American eugenics movement of the past and present; and ethnic weaponry tailored to the genetic specifications of the targeted race. Lest we believe that biological warfare is a modern invention, biology professor Goliszek informs us that, as far back as the Crusades, it was common practice to catapult plague-ridden human cadavers into enemy fortresses. Cartloads of human feces similarly hurled at enemies were also once time-honored weapons that were restricted only recently by international agreements. These days, biological and chemical warfare tactics are, in theory, used only by unscrupulous enemies of freedom. Goliszek claims, however, that the U.S. government conducts certain officially unacknowledged and disavowed viral and chemical weapons tests. He also recounts grisly tales of experimentation on healthy humans throughout history, all of them conducted in the name of commendable scientific research. Alas, these horrors can't be relegated to the annals of history, though, for there is no lack of current scientific experimentation on humans--biological, chemical, and genetic. Appendixes backing up some of Goliszek's claims were not available for review, and while references are provided for each chapter, precise citations within those references aren't. Army intelligence officers are using classified anti-personnel weapons to target activists and people who fit a common profile. Edited by Marshall Thomas.
The case being made is based on Four Facts, these four facts are the bare bones case to avoid confusion, disinformation, and circular arguments that lead nowhere. MKULTRA took place at over 80 institutions and the current illegal program that I call MONARCH (the real name is unknown) is equally complex. The four facts are all that is necessary to convince a reasonable person that this atrocity is really taking place and demands immediate action.
ONE: Public microwave weapons exist.
TWO: A prior pattern of criminal behavior.
THREE: Credible witnesses who fit a common profile.
FOUR: Persons of interest in military intelligence in charge of developing nonlethal microwave weapons who must be investigated.
ONE: Microwave weapons like the Active Denial System (ADS) and milliwave radars are public electromagnetic weapons. The Russians used microwave weapons to attack the American embassy in Moscow in the 1950’s. In response the US began a secret crash program to develop microwave weapons.
TWO: There is a criminal history dating back to 1943, a prior pattern of criminal behavior all through the Cold War. Half a million US citizens used as human guinea pigs in nuclear, biological, and chemical (NBC) weapons development programs. FBI Cointelpro government hit lists of political activists, and CIA MKULTRA using torture to break the human mind to control it. All of these illegal government programs escaped detection for decades and no perpetrators were ever punished.
THREE: Credible witnesses, people who have testified that they are targets of classified nonlethal microwave weapons assaults and organized stalking. The author has interviewed more than 200 targets in person and documented their stories. Most targeted individuals (TI’s) are political activists or whistleblowers that are around forty years old, have an above average IQ, and share other commonalities. The majority of the targets fit a common profile similar to the victims of previous programs.
FOUR: Persons of interest, military intelligence officers who have worked since 1980 to develop nonlethal microwave weapons for the Army. They publicly advocated using them on civilians to “neuter people”, expressed admiration for MKULTRA crimes, and given the classified weapons to local law enforcement and others. In addition they promote borderline beliefs and superstitions as part of a smoke screen cover-up. These are the basic facts reduced to their bare minimum. There is much more evidence available in the films, blogs, and supporting government documents, military science papers, nonlethal weapons scientists papers and patents, authoritative newspaper and magazine articles, books, films, and the testimony of experts and witnesses. The Four Facts are all that is necessary to prove a preponderance of evidence, and convince a reasonable person that these crimes are actually taking place and must be stopped. A mysterious scientist by the name of David Anderson made an eventful trip to Romania in 1999. Rear Admiral Richard E. Byrd (1888-1957) was an international hero best known for his accomplishments in pioneer aviation and polar exploration. Recipient of the U.S. Congressional Medal of Honor for navigating the first flight over the North Pole in 1926, he also was honored for his 1927 trans-Atlantic flight. In subsequent expeditions to the South Pole he discovered new land and collected important scientific data. You want an alien world created anew, with wonders and horrors lurking in its furrows? You go to Ridley Scott, of course, spectacle maker and pictorialist par excellence. So Prometheus is bound to be eye filling, with fully wrought planetary vistas and occasionally jaw-dropping visual coups. And did we use the word alien back there? Yes, folks, Prometheus is a prequel, in a sideways sort of fashion, to Scott's 1979 Alien original--or at least it's a long-distant stage setter for that story. This one begins with a space mission that could reveal the extraterrestrial roots of Earth, although what's buried out on the planet turns out to be much more complicated than expected. In the midst of suspenseful episodes (and a few contrived plot turns), Prometheus reaches for Big Answers to Big Questions, in a grand old sci-fi tradition. This lends the movie a hint of metaphysical energy, even if Scott's reach extends well, well beyond his grasp. The hokier moments are carried off with brio by Michael Fassbender (the robot on board), Charlize Theron, and Idris Elba, and then you've got Noomi Rapace entering the badass hall of fame for a long, oh-no-they-didn't sequence involving radical surgery, which might just induce the vapors in a few viewers. Even if Prometheus has its holes, the sheer size of the thing is exciting to be around. Because this movie is gigantic. --Robert Horton.

The underground realm of Agarttha was first introduced to the Western world in 1886 by the French esoteric philosopher Alexandre Saint-Yves d’Alveydre with his book Mission de l’Inde, translated here for the first time into English. Yves’ book maintained that deep below the Himalayas were enormous underground cities, which were under the rule of a sovereign pontiff known as the Brahâtma. Throughout history, the “unknown superiors” cited by secret societies were believed to be emissaries from this realm who had moved underground at the onset of the Kali-Yuga, the Iron Age.
Ruled in accordance with the highest principles, the kingdom of Agarttha, sometimes known as Shambhala, represents a world that is far advanced beyond our modern culture, both technologically and spiritually. THE MARQUIS ALEXANDRE SAINT-YVES D'ALVEYDRE (1842-1909) is a key figure of French esoteric tradition who had a great influence on the magus Papus (who described as his “intellectual teacher”) as well as Helena Blavatsky, Rudolf Steiner, and René Guénon. Saint-Yves also was the creator of the Archeometer, a measuring instrument, which he claimed was a “key” to understanding the Mysteries of the Word.
